Ecosystem services in Lubuskie
Welcome to research and development project Enhanced Multi-Source Information for Natural Capital Assessment and Monitoring (EO-BALP-CCN1) information website.
The project is based on geoinformatics analysis of various types of spatial data, with a particular emphasis on earth observation data. Its goal is to map and assess selected ecosystem services for the entire Lubuskie Voivodeship.
The project participants will be particularly interested in mapping and assessing ecosystem services (ES). These are all natural phenomena, processes, and functions that support and regulate life on Earth, having a direct or indirect impact on human well-being and prosperity.
Team will propose and present indicators regarding selected ecosystem services for landscape units in the Lubuskie Voivodeship identified through the 2024 landscape audit process. The indicators will be based on multi-source geospatial data, with a strong emphasis on data from remotely sensed Earth Observation (EO) data collected from satellite altitudes.
